This is a one-of-a-kind art piece that began when the artist obtained a gap or feeler gauge (a tool used for measuring the gap in spark plugs). When fanned out it resembled wings. The idea proved elusive and the various pieces sat on the workbench for months because of the difficulty in joining together the heavy metal parts. TIG welding was the solution. The completed piece is strong physically and symbolically.
It reminds one of the Scriptures which speak of angels among us; a comforting thought.
